Apple Inc. has unveiled its latest Black Unity Collection, which includes a limited edition Apple Watch Black Unity Sport Loop, an exclusive watch face, and specially designed wallpapers for iPhone and iPad that honor Black cultural heritage.

This launch is strategically timed to coincide with Black History Month in the United States, which starts on February 1. Developed in collaboration with Black designers and artists, the collection features a watch face named Unity Rhythm. This watch face incorporates the colors of the Pan-African flag—black, green, and red—and showcases unique numerals created from intertwined threads of red, green, and yellow.

In an official statement, Apple described the watch face's interactive feature: "The watch face responds to the motion of the gyroscope, transforming abstract brush strokes into numerals when the wearer raises their wrist to view the time."

This bespoke Unity Rhythm watch face will be accessible via the forthcoming watchOS 11.3 update, compatible with the Apple Watch Series 6 and later models, as well as iPhone Xs or newer devices.

Accompanying this, Apple has released the Black Unity Sport Loop, retailing at $49. It is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes and fits the Apple Watch Series 4 or newer, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Ultra, and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

This initiative underscores Apple's ongoing pledge to enhance economic, educational, and creative opportunities for diverse communities globally. Reinforcing its commitment, the company has declared its support for various international organizations, such as the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music in New Orleans, Battersea Arts Centre in London, Music Forward Foundation in Los Angeles, Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney, and the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, Tennessee.
